Services — Common Questions
Is there a minimum job size?
No hard minimum — small jobs and quick fixes are welcome. Larger builds get a written fixed quote; small work runs hourly or flat-fee. You'll know which applies before any tools come out.
How does your quoting process work?
Quick call to scope the job, then a visit to measure up and walk through options. You get a written fixed price with a timeline before work starts. No hourly billing unless you've agreed to it upfront.
Can you handle multiple trades on the same job?
Yes — the mix of carpentry, landscape construction and marine tickets covers most trades on one job. You book once, deal with one person, and the whole thing runs through Scott from quote to sign-off.
Do you take on urgent or short-notice work?
Where capacity allows, yes. Urgent site clean-ups, rental resets and small repairs often slot in within days. Larger builds need a proper run-up — call and we'll tell you honestly where the schedule's at.
Can you work with builders and property managers on ongoing jobs?
Yes. Labour hire by the hour or day, rental maintenance rounds, site resets between tenants — all on ongoing terms. Invoiced weekly or per job, whichever suits your bookkeeping.
What's not included in your services?
Major structural engineering, engineered retaining walls, licensed electrical and licensed plumbing sit outside scope. Where a job needs a specialist we'll flag it and help line one up.
How soon can you start?
Smaller jobs often start within the week. Larger builds and waterfront work book a couple of weeks out. The sooner you call the better — Scott prioritises the jobs already on the schedule.
